Classic Bread Pudding

Preparation 15 Min's

Cooking time 1Hour

Serves 4

4 Cups of Cubed Bread (stale  is best)

2 Eggs

1/2 Cup granulated  Sugar

2 Cups of Milk

1tsp Vanilla Extracts (optional)

1 tsp Cinnamon  

Pinch of Nutmeg

Pinch of Salt

Handful of Raisins can be mixed (brown & yellow)

Butter for Baking Dish

Method

Pre-heat oven to 350F

1-Whisk together the milk,eggs,and add the sugar and spices ,mix well.

2-Add the bread and raisins  and gently turnover with a wooden spoon until the bread is completely and evenly penetrated with the milk

3-Butter the baking dish ,pour in the mixture and bake for 1 hour or until the mixture has firmed .you can serve this straight from the oven or wait until warm

Serve with

A large dollop of thick Cream,Custard or Ice Cream .mm mm

Variation ;

This is also great made with Whiskey ,Grand Marnier ,Port,Brandy, Rum

Just make pudding as above adding one-two shots of your favorite tipple, this gives the pudding a wonderful taste but at the same time is not too strong .
